Welcome to the Sussex Branch website.  The Branch is independent but is affiliated to and supports the work of the Salmon & Trout Conservation UK National Charity.

Our aim is to represent game anglers in the County of Sussex and help preserve and improve our counties’ rivers, lakes and reservoirs.  We want to ensure that the whole aquatic environment is protected for future generations to enjoy and benefit from.

During the year we have stands at the South of England Show and the Autumn Show and Game Fair at Ardingly.  Last year we attended the iFISH show in Haywards Heath and, this year we again plan to be at iFISH in November, this time to be held at Ardingly.  More details of last years shows and events can be found in the "News and Events" section. Why don’t you come along and see us at one of these events.

Between April and September we hold a number of Courses for juniors and adults who are interested in taking up fly-fishing.  The Branch has received the Club Mark accreditation and all of the Courses are run by qualified Game Angling Instructors.  There is more information about these courses in the "Instruction" section of the website.

Members of Salmon & Trout Conservation UK (or Angling Trust) may also apply to join the Cinder Hill Trout Syndicate, which is a fishery run on a non-profit basis by the Members near Horsted Keynes.  You can find out more about this in the Game Fishingsection of the website.

So, whether you are an experienced Fly Fisherman, have just taken up Fly Fishing or haven’t ever tried it, we hope you will find the various pages of our website helpful.  Otherwise, please contact us and we will do our best to assist or direct you to the right area.
